Forum Review
Chen Daji pointed out that the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology has triggered a new wave of intelligence but also brought many governance and regulatory issues. It is urgent to lead to the high-quality development of the industry through standards. In the next step, the China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute will continue to play the role of the counterpart unit of the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission Joint Technical Committee Artificial Intelligence Subcommittee (ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42), guide the global artificial intelligence industry chain enterprises to collaborate, actively explore the direction of artificial intelligence governance industry practice, promote the international standardization of artificial intelligence governance, and lay a solid foundation for the healthy development of the artificial intelligence industry.
Zhang Chengjin pointed out that Shanghai has actively promoted the construction of AI governance standardization mechanisms and the development of standards and is an important leader in my country's AI innovation and application. In the next step, Shanghai will give full play to its own technological and market advantages, continue to participate in international AI governance standardization work, strive to propose more AI governance practice plans and standards with Shanghai characteristics, and further enhance the standardization level and influence of my country's international AI governance.
Ten experts from home and abroad gave keynote speeches on global artificial intelligence governance, AI development trends and challenges, international and European standardization progress, the status and prospects of AI governance standardization, and thoughts and practices on artificial intelligence governance in application fields such as energy and finance.
